Meet the team

Valeria Murgia

Valeria is a professional software maker with 25 years of experience in a broad variety of fields and industries.

CTO

She specialises in the design of both low and high level systems such as language virtual machines and dynamic simulations. Along her career Valeria led several development teams for mission-critical projects in the public and private sectors in addition to being one of the main implementers of Bee Smalltalk, a programming language of industrial strength used by mayor and super mayor companies in the energy sector for the last 20 years.
Valeria has a Master Degree in Computer Sciences from the University of Buenos Aires and has won two prizes in international programming contests. Valeria's accompanying passions are music, an activity she embraces as a chorus conductor, and organic horticulture. Her commitment with ecology took her to adopt a vegan way of life and become, along with her husband, the principal owner of a natural reserve in the province of Córdoba, Argentina.

Eduardo Tavcar

Eduardo brings more than 20 years of experience in the oil & gas sector. He held roles in marketing, R&D and consultancy.

Co-founder & Director

In 2011, Eduardo started his journey in decision sciences and since then with focus on advanced decision support software, Eduardo gained ample experience in the design and use of these tools. Eduardo provided extensive coaching and training to multidisciplinary teams responsible for complex decisions in contexts of uncertainty in high-profile projects and also modelled them. Recently, and together with Valeria, Eduardo co-founded dScerner, to develop and market state-of-the-art full-probabilistic modelling and simulation technology. dScerner offers reliable decision-making solutions to medium and large companies in fields as diverse as pharma, infrastructure, maritime transport, agriculture and general manufacturing. Married and father of 3, Eduardo is a marine engineer who also studied business administration and enjoys jazz, motorbikes and cooking for friends and family.
